Frequently asked questions.
How are OKM tours different?
OKM tours are focused on creating a one of a kind experience for each guest. We want you trip to be engaging, educational and fun. Additionally, it is important for us that you have the opportunity to connect to the culture through genuine interactions with the communities we visit.
I am not a group tour type of person. I like to travel on my own. Is OKM right for me?
We try very hard to make every experience memorable. Our staff are experts at managing group dynamics and we promise a spectacular trip, even if you are solo. However, if you do wish to take a tour alone, we are able to book solo trips at your request.
Can you create a custom experience for me?
Our tours are dependent on the availability and production schedules of our mezcalero partners. Custom tours are possible, however they take more time to plan as certain activities are not available on certain days. Reach out with plenty of time for us to coordinate.
What type of vehicle will we travel in?
We travel in style, in a fully equipped 14 passenger van.
What will the weather be like?
The rainy season is April-October when it will generally rain heavily for an hour or between 4pm-7pm. Outside of this season the weather will be sunny and dry. Please be aware, most activities are outside and some take place in full sun. Please bring appropriate dress and apply sunscreen, if needed.
How much mezcal will we be tasting during the tour?
All your heart desires.
Can I purchase mezcal during the tour?
There will be opportunities to purchase mezcal during most parts of the tour. Please note, limits on how much can be brought back to your home country vary and while we know most of the info, we do not claim to be worldwide experts on customs for each country.
Will I have access to internet on the tour?
If you have mobile service in Mexico, you will have access to data for 99% of the tour.
Does my guide speak English and Spanish?
All our expert guides are bi-lingual and happy to translate.
